The Senior Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure Executive (SDCCIE) is responsible for the overall architect and expertise of Regional/Local Data Centers, Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud Infrastructure deployed in Asia Pacific region.
The SDCCIE is a regional role reporting to the Regional Head of Information Technology (HOD) and is responsible to lead, design, provision and manage global/regional/local Data Center and Cloud initiatives or technologies to ensure successful digitalisation and modernisation efforts of the Company, and to ensure the detailed design and operation is aligned with the regional enterprise architecture to meet business objectives.
The SDCCIE is a key technical member of the Regional IT Leadership team providing infrastructure expertise to both business operations and the Regional/Local IT Network, Operations and Applications teams. Having excellent modern Data Center technical track records and vast experience in implementing and managing Azure and AWS Cloud Infrastructure operations are vital to the success of this role.
Job Description
Lead, Drive and Manage Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure for Asia Pacific
- Lead, drive and manage the overall Data Centers, AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure platform lifecycle from conceptualisation to implementation and post-live operations.
- Architect the overall solution designs, implementations and operations for Data Centers, AWS Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
- Plan technology roadmap, review technology improvements and perform management reviews for Data Centers and Cloud
- Infrastructures deployment and operations, and ensure the solution implemented work well with the Company's regional infrastructure, policies, standards and security requirement.
- Architect and design next generation Cloud Regional Data Center in Asia Pacific.
- Perform technical feasibility studies and recommend technology solutions.
- Develop effective stakeholder relationships across the region and with stakeholders from various levels of the Company.
- Communicate effectively and perform presentations to senior stakeholders on project progress and resolve issues efficiently.
- Partner closely with the development, implementation and design teams in an agile environment and continually improve ways of working and overall productivity.
- Identify potential IT risks and the implications, and recommend mitigating measures to manage the risks.
- Prepare CAPEX and OPEX budgets, and manage expenses.
- Provide monthly updates and status reports to the HOD.
- Other duties as assigned by the HOD.
Data Center & Cloud Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance
- Manage Data Centers and Cloud infrastructure operations and support and ensure delivery of services meet agreed service levels.
- Ensure all ICT infrastructure and systems are fully compliant to all ICT local and international laws, standards, and regulations.
- Perform procurement of hardware, software, and services for Regional/Local Data Centers, and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Maintain Infrastructure Inventory of Regional/Local Data Centers, and Cloud Infrastructure and ensure records are up to date.
- Prepare and update the assigned ICT Infrastructure Policies, Standards, SOPs, and routine reports/documentations.
- Perform proactive monitoring of Regional/Local Data Centers, and Cloud Infrastructure. Respond to alerts and initiate corrective or rectification action.
- Plan and execute capacity planning for all Regional/Local Data Center and Cloud Infrastructures.
- Performs installation of new infrastructure components in Regional/Local Data Centers, and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Perform regular hardware, software and firmware upgrades or updates to ensure the servers, storage, VMWare vSphere, OS, Domain Controllers, databases, backup & replication, resources in Regional/Local Data Centers, and Cloud Infrastructure comply to Company Policies, and with up to date antivirus and security levels.
- Maintain and create PowerShell or automation scripts for effective operation and reporting purposes.
- Manage and deliver assigned Infrastructure projects, maintenance and upgrades, and/or Infrastructure Change Requests in the region within approved budget, timeline, and scope in accordance with the annual action plans and mid-term plans.
- Perform ICT recovery tests and Regional Disaster Recovery Exercises
- Conduct end-users and/or regional IT representatives trainings to ensure procedural and technical competencies in their daily activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent proven knowledge with work experience
- Recent 8 to 15 years relevant digital cloud infrastructure management experience in a demanding, agile MNC environment with leadership and project management responsibilities.
- Proven successful track records of consistenty delivering high-impact, complex enterprise Data Center Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms in Mirosoft Azure and AWS in MNC environment.
- Sound experience in working in a regional IT team in a MNC RHQ shared services environment.
- Technically competent and have recent Data Center operation and implementations in the following:
- Microsoft Servers Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server Database, SAP Basis administration, SharePoint, Office365, Exchange, VMware vSphere and ESXi, HP Blades, EMC SAN, Veeam Backup, and replication
- Technically competent and have prior project implementation experiences in multiple areas of AWS Cloud Platform and Technologies such as:
- AWS Organization, AWS Control Tower, AWS Landing Zone, AWS Config
- AWS Identity and Access Management
- AWS Key Management Service
- AWS Compute and Storage (S3, EC2, EBS, DynamoDB, Aurora, AMI)
- AWS Networking (Virtual Private Cloud, Elastic Load Balancing, Subnet, Transit Gateway, Security Group, Route53, WAF, AWS Network Connectivity, API)
- AWS Security, Monitoring and Governance (CloudFormation, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Cognito)
- AWS Serverless Architecture (Lambda, CloudFront)
- AWS Cost Optimization
- AWS Well-Architected Design
- AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery
- AWS AI, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, DevOps, Data Lake

- Microsoft and Linux OS in AWS environment
- Strong project, vendor and stakeholder management.
- Good understanding in security risk management, server and network hardening, vulnerability management, intrusion technologies.
- Good knowledge in ISO 27001:2022 and NIST Cybersecurity framework can be advantageous.
- Sound knowledge in ITIL V4 processes.
- Exposure in preparation of ICT Policy and Standards.
- Experienced in Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery
- Excellent written verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Able to communicate effectively primarily in fluent English language (a second Asian language can be a bonus)
- A matured technical professional with ability to work independently with minimum supervision, under pressure and within agreed timelines.
