Planner, Supply Chain Planning

Summary of Functional Duties & Responsibilities:

1.

Manage and monitor customer order backlogs to support timely fulfillment and alignment with customer delivery requirements.

2.

Review open sales orders regularly to identify supply constraints, delayed fulfillment, allocation issues, and priority orders requiring follow-up.

3.

Coordinate with Supply Planning, Production, Sales, Order Processing, Logistics, Procurement, and other relevant teams to support order fulfillment activities.

4.

Provide accurate and timely order status updates, including expected fill dates, during backlog reviews, operational meetings, and management updates.

5.

Follow up on supply availability, shipment readiness, and delivery commitments to ensure open orders are fulfilled according to agreed timelines.

6.

Escalate critical shortages, delayed orders, fulfillment risks, and customer-impacting issues to relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.

7.

Support demand allocation decisions by considering inventory availability, customer priorities, business requirements, and service level targets.

8.

Manage procurement activities for third-party vendor drop-shipment orders, including purchase order issuance, supplier follow-up, delivery tracking, and order closure.

9.

Coordinate with third-party vendors to secure order acknowledgements, confirm shipment schedules, and expedite urgent customer requirements where necessary.

10.

Monitor supplier performance for drop-shipment orders and follow up on issues relating to late deliveries, shortages, discrepancies, or missed commitments.

11.

Maintain accurate order, purchase, and fulfillment information in ERP or planning systems to ensure visibility, data accuracy, and effective decision-making.

12.

Prepare and maintain backlog reports, fulfillment trackers, supplier updates, and other operational reports required for business reviews.

13.

Provide backup support to other planners within the team as required, including assisting with planning activities, order follow-ups, supply coordination, and reporting during periods of workload peaks or absence.

14.

Identify recurring issues in backlog management, order fulfillment, or supplier performance, and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.

15.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform any other duties, projects, or assignments as requested by the supervisor or management to improve supply chain service performance and support departmental and business objectives.

Job Specifications :

Minimum Education Required :

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or related discipline.

Minimum Experience Required :

3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Order Management, Customer Fulfillment, Procurement, or related functions.

Skills and Knowledge Required :

- Experience managing order backlogs and customer fulfillment priorities.

- Experience working with third-party suppliers and drop-ship fulfillment processes.

-Experienced user of SAP system (MM).

-Excellent data analytical skills.

-Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Access, Excel and PowerPoint)
