Senior System Administrator, Business Application Management

Key Job Purpose:

The Senior System Administrator is responsible for the operational support, administration and continuous improvement of SAP Business application across the Asia Pacific (AP) region of Sysmex. The primary focus is on SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, SAP Global Trade Security (GTS) processes, and the integration between S/4HANA OTC, GTS and other Business Application within Sysmex AP application landscape, as well as with our external Business Partner’s Business Application.

The role serves first point of contact for application incidents and service requests, performs functional analysis and coordinates issue resolution with business users, internal IT teams and external SAP consultants. The position also supports system changes, testing, release deployment, user access administration and compliance documentation to maintain stable, secure and controlled business application operations.

In addition, the role acts as the support to Material Master Data Governance Leads, driving material master data standards, governance controls, data quality and SAP MDG processes across the SAP landscape. The role works closely with business process owners, data owners and key users to translate operational and governance requirements into sustainable functional solutions.

Summary of Functional Duties & Responsibilities:

A

SAP Application Support and Operations

1.

Provide first-level functional and technical support for SAP S/4HANA and SAP GTS applications, with particular focus on Order-to-Cash and GTS processes and the integration

1. Between S/4HANA OTC and GTS application,
2. With MS Dynamic CRM system of Sysmex AP,
3. With Master Data Governance (MDG) system of Sysmex Corporation,
4. With Business Applications of our external Business Partners such as 4th Party Logistic (4PL) and 3rd Party Logistic (3PL) partners.

2.

Manage incidents, service requests and application issues by performing initial analysis, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and coordinating resolution with internal support teams and external SAP consultants.

3.

Monitor recurring application and data issues, identify improvement opportunities and recommend preventive or corrective actions to improve system stability and operational efficiency.

4.

Support day-to-day SAP operational activities and ensure that business-critical issues are appropriately prioritized, communicated, documented and resolved.

B

Material Master Data Governance

1.

Support Material Master Data Governance Lead, Data Owner and Stewards to coordinate the definition, implementation and continuous improvement of material master data standards, policies, ownership and governance processes.

2.

Support SAP MDG processes covering material creation, extension, change, approval workflows, validation rules, duplicate prevention and data replication to SAP S/4HANA, SAP GTS and other relevant systems.

3.

Work with data owners, business process owners and key users to define data quality requirements, resolve governance issues and ensure the completeness, consistency and accuracy of material master data.

4.

Coordinate data validation, cleansing, remediation and basic migration activities relating to material master data.

5.

Monitor material master data quality and governance compliance, identify recurring data issues and support the implementation of sustainable corrective actions and controls.

C

Business Analysis and Solution Delivery

1.

Engage business process owners, data owners and key users to gather, analyse and document business, system and data governance requirements.

2.

Perform process and gap analysis, impact assessment and cost-benefit analysis to support solution recommendations and implementation decisions.

3.

Translate business and data governance requirements into clear functional specifications, process designs, validation requirements and test scenarios.

4.

Support the configuration, enhancement and deployment of SAP functionalities relating to OTC, Material Management, Warehouse Management and Master Data Governance, where applicable.

5.

Coordinate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders and external consultants to ensure that solutions meet operational, security, compliance and architectural requirements.

D

Testing, Change and Release Management

1.

Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test data and User Acceptance Testing scripts for system enhancements, patches, upgrades and master data governance changes.

2.

Execute or coordinate unit, integration and regression testing, document results, manage defects and support business users during User Acceptance Testing.

3.

Support SAP change requests throughout the delivery lifecycle, including requirement assessment, solution review, testing, transport coordination, deployment and post-implementation validation.

4.

Participate in SAP transport, release and change management processes to ensure changes are properly authorized, tested, documented and deployed.

5.

Support post-implementation activities, including issue resolution, stabilization, documentation updates and knowledge transfer.

E

User Administration, Governance and Compliance

1.

Perform or coordinate SAP user administration activities, including user onboarding, access changes, periodic user and licence reviews and access removal.

2.

Coordinate user access requirements in accordance with Business Application Management, IT cybersecurity, audit and Segregation of Duties requirements.

3.

Maintain accurate and current system documentation, functional specifications, test evidence, support records, data governance procedures and operational work instructions.

4.

Ensure that application support, system changes and master data governance activities comply with applicable internal standards and relevant CSV, J-SOX, ISO, cybersecurity and audit requirements.

5.

Support internal and external audit requests by providing relevant system, access, change and master data governance documentation.

F

Stakeholder and Knowledge Management

1.

Build effective working relationships with regional business users, process owners, data owners, key users, internal IT teams and external service providers.

2.

Communicate application issues, risks, dependencies and implementation progress clearly to relevant stakeholders.

3.

Develop and maintain user guides, support procedures and knowledge materials, and conduct knowledge-sharing or user training sessions where required.

4.

Promote the adoption of standard processes, governance controls, automation and appropriate digital or AI-enabled tools to improve support quality and operational efficiency.
