Key Job Purpose:

  • To develop and implement effective medical/scientific strategies through scientific/ clinical studies, KOL outreach, continuing clinical/scientific education, and by providing guidance to the development of new clinical parameters.
  • Be responsible for Medical Scientific Affairs.

 

 


 

 

Summary of Functional Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical/Scientific Marketing
  • Conceptualize innovative initiatives to support marketing strategy while maintaining scientific integrity, including organizing scientific seminars and providing scientific expertise or support in major scientific symposia and events.
  • Support Clinical Marketing to develop, edit, and review scientific collaterals to ensure clinical/scientific accuracy, relevance for target audiences, and alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Develop a database of scientific papers, information, tools for use with internal and external customers.
  • Develop scientific tools and materials with clinical laboratory or tertiary institute.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and developments in the IVD field.

 

  1. Clinical/Scientific studies
  • Develop and support SAP-/investigator-initiated scientific/ clinical study, in alignment with the regional and global marketing strategies.
  • Develop or review study protocols to meet objectives of study.
  • Establish and manage timelines, resources and budget for the studies.
  • Work with investigators in analyzing study results and troubleshooting problems.
  • Work with investigators to publish positive study in peer-reviewed international journals.

 

  1. Support of KOLs Development.
  • Support development of KOL database and work closely with marketing for optimal utilization of scientific messages and KOLs.
  • Identify, develop and maintain partnering relationships with current and future KOLs in alignment with business objectives.
  • Leverage KOLs for the development and update of educational material.

 

  1. Internal and External customer education
  • Develop scientific materials/ tools to educate internal and external customers on Sysmex’s products and technologies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Care Department to deliver scientific training for internal and external customers.
  1. Scientific event management
  • Support regional scientific events in relation to scientific themes/messages and work closely with affiliates in planning and execution.
  • Gather feedback of the events in relation to speakers and contents to ensure continual improvement.
  • Lead/support the local/regional advisory board, expert forum information to delve the clinical gaps, clinical needs from the fields.
  • Responsible for acceleration of novel markers updated in CPG based on data-driven evidence.
  1. To attend regional meeting & training.
  2. To coordinate the MOH and regulatory dept to update the new strategies impacting in the business and patient pathways.
  3. To ensure required standard operating procedures and guidelines are made, reviewed, improved, kept in place, launched and trained for staffs.
  4. To manage, guide, train, coach subordinates if any.
  5. To read, update and follow company's standard operating procedures and guidelines in daily work. 
  6. To support Managers/ Supervisors to make, review and improve standard operating procedures and guidelines.

  1. To respond to key issues raised by colleagues in responsibilities.
  2. To work with heads of other departments to carry out coordination functions, duties and powers under the provisions of the Company.
  3. To use equipment and facilities of the Company to serve the purpose to complete the task.
  4. To enjoy the full benefits stipulated in the labor agreement and labor law.
  5. To refuse to perform the tasks assigned by Manager/ Superiors which not in conformity with the law and/or compliance in medical ethics.
  6. To co-operate with relevant departments to carry out daily works under the provisions of the Company.

 

Job Specification :

Minimum Education Required

Master degree in appropriate Sciences, Pharma or MBBS.

 

 

Minimum Experience Required

A good knowledge of major divisions of laboratory medicine, 5 years clinical experience or 5 years scientific research experience in relevant subject areas

Skills and Knowledge Required

Proficient in English language, MS office

  • Developing clinical studies protocols

  • Statistical and data analysis
  • Data science, Machine learning and AI are plus
  • Scientific writing and publication
