Key Job Purpose:

Supply Chain Management:

Provide leadership to and execution of supply-chain management operations and activities within Vietnam. Ensure successful establishment of SCM infrastructures SO/PO processes and inventory profiling. Execute feasibility studies and business planning for SCM in Vietnam targeted for direct operations.

Provide leadership to and execution of SCM projects in Vietnam and with Singapore and accountable for reviewing of processes to enhance and drive efficiencies while aligning with Asia-Pacific SCM processes.

Provide strategic and tactical direction in the SCM risk mitigation and participate in the development of security policies, standard and procedures, as part of the Governance Framework in AP region.

 

Summary of Functional Duties & Responsibilities:

1.

Responsible for developing and recommending policies, guidelines, procedures and implement KPIs on sustaining cost-efficiency and optimizing delivery.

2.

Manage supply chain management activities including sales order processing, purchasing and inventory management.

3.

Manage external service providers to ensure products are delivered in a timely manner into the company’s warehouse and customers’ location.

4.

Provide analysis to Management and regional SCM with KPIs to ensure sufficient inventory availability whilst maintaining control over logistic cost developments and inventory obsolescence.

5.

Release purchase order with release strategy approval.

6.

Monthly review of SCM, Planning & Procurement, to understand market dynamics as well as the legal and regulatory landscaping. Close coordination with industry forums.

7.

Develop Sales and Operations Planning process whereby product and operational requirement are aligned with demand forecast, production capacity, stock availability and financial objectives.

8.

Maintain inventory stock profile in the country to achieve fiscal budget and actively put in place measures limiting exposure to risk, excess and obsolescence.

9.

Evaluate Demand Forecast and Planning performance to determine root cause and drive corrective actions.

10.

Develop the communication and processes for regular review with key supplying partners, order backlog, PO acknowledgement and forecast capacity requirement.

11.

As a key business process expert (super-user), support the implementation of supply chain related IT changes and improvement, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Demand Forecasting and Transportation Management.

12.

Own the delivery of regional freight and distribution cost-savings and drive down regional cost whilst improving service levels.

13.

Ensure supply chain processes comply with SOX/STC regulations and and actively participate in enhancing the governance procedures.

14.

Manage recruitment and development of the supply chain team; develop the right balance of resources and skills supported by training and development programs.

15.

Develop dual-source for each SKU (other than unique item), to mitigate risk and conduct supplier audit regularly to ensure a stable supply.

16.

Handle all customer complaints in a timely manner and propose reasonable solutions to customers.

17.

Provide leadership to the Vietnam Trade Controls and Customs Compliance Team on trade facilitation and compliance matters in meeting trade controls and customs regulations.

18.

Participate in the development of Vietnam and Singapore trade controls and customs compliance processes, data management, system, audit, training and issues resolution processes.

19.

Facilitate trade controls and compliance in areas of denied parties, controlled substances and embargo countries in AP.

20.

Oversee routine, disciplined operational reviews that cascade through the organization to all levels and stakeholders. Enabling rapid escalation of issues for resolution and improved performance. Constantly review external trends and identify internal opportunities for continuous improvement.

21.

Confident, articulate, and able to influence peers and subordinates at all levels with exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

22.

Prepares monthly management reports.


23.

Join SCM and/or other trainings.

24.

Co-ordinate to obtain import licences.

25.

Ensure required standard operating procedures and guidelines made, reviewed, improved, kept in place, launched and trained for staff.

26.

Any other duties as may be assigned.

  • To respond to issues submitted by Supervisors or staffs in responsibilities.

  • To use equipment and facilities of the Company to serve the purpose to complete the task.

  • To refuse to perform the tasks assigned by Manager/ Superiors which not in conformity with the law

 

Job Specification :

Minimum Education Required

Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Business or equivalent. MBA is an advantage.

Minimum Experience Required

At least 15 years, with 8 years of managerial experience

Skills and Knowledge Required

Manage complex supply chain; L/C negotiations (if applicable); Understand Business Planning, Demand Forecasting, Sales & Operation Planning

Proficient in using SAP/S4 Hana system

Attitude Required

Positive mindset; resourceful; sense of urgency, customer focused, team player, responsible, flexibility

Knowledge Desired but not Essential

Legal and customs requirement of Vietnam and APAC countries.

IVD business. APIC Certified – CPIM and/or CSCP (certified in planning and inventory Management and/or Certified Supply Chain Professional).
